A top price for Joan Miró
The work Peinture (Étoile Bleue) by Joan Miró was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art Evening Sale auction at Sothebys in London in June 2012. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 23,561,250 (€ 29,174,437), 18% above the upper estimate. With this result, Peinture (Étoile Bleue) is even the most expensive work of art by Joan Miró that we have observed at auctions so far.
