In December 2008 Sothebys in Amsterdam held the auction Modern and Contemporary Art, including 1950 Northern European Avant - Garde, which included the work Dutch Paterswoldsemeer by Johan Dijkstra. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 27,150.00 36% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Johan Dijkstra - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Farms In A Groningen Landscape (Recto); A Portrait Of A Young Lady (Verso), which sold at auction in June 2014 for EUR 79,500.00.

Im Dezember 2008 führte Sothebys in Amsterdam die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art, including 1950 Northern European Avant - Garde durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dutch Paterswoldsemeer von Johan Dijkstra zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 27.150,00 und damit 36% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Johan Dijkstra mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Farms In A Groningen Landscape (Recto); A Portrait Of A Young Lady (Verso) beobachtet, die im Juni 2014 für EUR 79.500,00 versteigert wurde.
