The work Ursula Andress, 'James Bond's Girls', November 1965; and 'The Spy They Love', July 1983 by John Derek was sold in the The Year of the Rabbit: The Playboy Collection auction at Christies in New York in December 2010. The price achieved of USD 4,000.00 (€ 3,014.55) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Derek - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bo Derek, 1980, which sold at auction in December 2003 for USD 11,950.00 (€ 9,486.39).
