Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Concrete by Jose Mijares was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction at Bonhams in London in June last year. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 9,562.50 (€ 11,108.90), 20% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Jose Mijares have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Lo concreto en rojo in May last year with an auction result of USD 50,400.00 (€ 46,966.73).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Concrete von Jose Mijares wurde im Juni letzten Jahres in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 9.562,50 (€ 11.108,90) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jose Mijares auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Lo concreto en rojo im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 50.400,00 (€ 46.966,73).
