In the Modernismo: Spanish Artists of the 20th Century auction, the work Europa sold for USD 7,560.00 (€ 7,174.72) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Josep Maria Subirachs have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work L'Architecture in April last year with an auction result of USD 40,320.00 (€ 38,265.16).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Josep Maria Subirachs erzielte im April letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modernismo: Spanish Artists of the 20th Century wurde die Arbeit Europa für USD 7.560,00 (€ 7.174,72) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Josep Maria Subirachs auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit L'Architecture im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 40.320,00 (€ 38.265,16).
