Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2016 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Photographies / Photographs, which included the work Lifeguard' by Joseph Szabo. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 8,125.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Joseph Szabo have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2012 the work Priscilla was auctioned for USD 16,250.00 (€ 12,540.52).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2016 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Photographies / Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lifeguard' von Joseph Szabo zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 8.125,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Joseph Szabo konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober 2012 die Arbeit Priscilla für USD 16.250,00 (€ 12.540,52) versteigert.
