Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Joseph Szabo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in September 2017. In the New Now: The Katayama Collection auction, the work Priscilla sold for USD 4,375.00 (€ 3,703.55) - well above the upper estimate of USD 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Joseph Szabo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Priscilla, which sold at auction in October 2012 for USD 16,250.00 (€ 12,540.52).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Joseph Szabo erzielte im September 2017 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion New Now: The Katayama Collection wurde die Arbeit Priscilla für USD 4.375,00 (€ 3.703,55) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 2.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Joseph Szabo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Priscilla beobachtet, die im Oktober 2012 für USD 16.250,00 (€ 12.540,52) versteigert wurde.
