This artwork by Juan Gris achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in November 2021. In the 20th Century Evening Sale auction, the work Le moulin à café sold for USD 930,000.00 (€ 823,956.76) - well above the upper estimate of USD 500,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Juan Gris achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La table de musicien in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 31,812,500.00 (€ 27,260,068.55).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Juan Gris erzielte im November 2021 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century Evening Sale wurde die Arbeit Le moulin à café für USD 930.000,00 (€ 823.956,76) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 500.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Juan Gris erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La table de musicien im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 31.812.500,00 (€ 27.260.068,55).
