Auction result well in line with expectations

It changed hands for a price of USD 47,500.00 (€ 39,922.68) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jules Pascin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Homme et femme (recto); Les robes claires (verso) in October this year with an auction result of GBP 302,400.00 (€ 347,239.21).

Die Arbeit Fillette au chat (Portrait de Ruth Wood-Gaylor) von Jules Pascin kam im November 2017 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 47.500,00 (€ 39.922,68) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00.
