Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Tête bizarre by Julio González was auctioned at Christies in New York in May 2017. The price achieved of USD 25,000.00 (€ 22,249.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Julio González achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Masque 'Ombre Et Lumière' in February 2011 with an auction result of GBP 4,633,250.00 (€ 5,457,580.86).

Die Arbeit Tête bizarre von Julio González kam im Mai 2017 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 22.249,91) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Julio González erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Masque 'Ombre Et Lumière' im Februar 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.633.250,00 (€ 5.457.580,86).
