This artwork by Kasing Lung achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in May 2021. In the Contemporary Showcase: Kawaii Pop auction, the work Labubu Limited Set Of Eight Figurines In Artist'S Illustrated Display Cabinet sold for HKD 176,400.00 (€ 18,646.84) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 100,000.00. Admittedly, works by Kasing Lung have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Otto Ule (Painted In 2018) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 144,000.00 (€ 147,052.17).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Kasing Lung erzielte im Mai 2021 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Showcase: Kawaii Pop wurde die Arbeit Labubu Limited Set Of Eight Figurines In Artist'S Illustrated Display Cabinet für HKD 176.400,00 (€ 18.646,84) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 100.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Kasing Lung auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Otto Ule (Painted In 2018) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 144.000,00 (€ 147.052,17).
