Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Kasing Lung achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in May 2021. In the Contemporary Showcase: Kawaii Pop auction, the work without title sold for HKD 94,500.00 (€ 9,989.38) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kasing Lung achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Otto Ule (Painted In 2018) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 144,000.00 (€ 147,052.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Kasing Lung erzielte im Mai 2021 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Showcase: Kawaii Pop wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für HKD 94.500,00 (€ 9.989,38) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 40.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kasing Lung erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Otto Ule (Painted In 2018) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 144.000,00 (€ 147.052,17).
