Auction result misses estimated price range
In December last year a collector was able to acquire the work BFF (MOMA EXCLUSIVE) by Kaws for HKD 3,276.00 (€ 392.58). This price was achieved in the auction No Regrets: 20th/21st Century Art Online at Christies in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 4,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kaws achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Kimpsons #1) in October 2019 with an auction result of HKD 57,877,000.00 (€ 6,615,255.49).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit BFF (MOMA EXCLUSIVE) von Kaws für HKD 3.276,00 (€ 392,58) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion No Regrets: 20th/21st Century Art Online bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 4.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kaws erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Kimpsons #1) im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 57.877.000,00 (€ 6.615.255,49).
