Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Evening Sale, which included the work Tp4 by László Moholy-Nagy. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 441,000.00 (€ 361,653.27) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by László Moholy-Nagy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Em 1 Telephonbild (Em 1 Telephone Picture) in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 6,087,500.00 (€ 5,754,868.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Tp4 von László Moholy-Nagy zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 441.000,00 (€ 361.653,27) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von László Moholy-Nagy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Em 1 Telephonbild (Em 1 Telephone Picture) im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.087.500,00 (€ 5.754.868,60).
