Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Akt (Nude), 1929 by László Moholy-Nagy was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Christies in New York in May this year. It changed hands for a price of USD 56,700.00 (€ 53,219.45) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by László Moholy-Nagy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Em 1 Telephonbild (Em 1 Telephone Picture) in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 6,087,500.00 (€ 5,754,868.60).
