Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Smoking (black) by Lee Dongi was auctioned at Phillips in Hong Kong in December 2020. The price achieved of HKD 63,000.00 (€ 6,645.13) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lee Dongi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Smoking (black), which sold at auction in November 2007 for USD 21,250.00 (€ 14,467.59).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Smoking (black) von Lee Dongi kam im Dezember 2020 bei Phillips in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 63.000,00 (€ 6.645,13) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Lee Dongi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Smoking (black) beobachtet, die im November 2007 für USD 21.250,00 (€ 14.467,59) versteigert wurde.
