Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Leonard Freed could be acquired at Christies in New York in December 2010 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Photographs auction, the work New York City, 1975 changed hands for USD 1,625.00 (€ 1,224.66) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Leonard Freed have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Selected images from Police Work in October 2016 with an auction result of USD 11,250.00 (€ 10,262.73).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Leonard Freed konnte im Dezember 2010 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Photographs wechselte die Arbeit New York City, 1975 für USD 1.625,00 (€ 1.224,66) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Leonard Freed auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Selected images from Police Work im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 11.250,00 (€ 10.262,73).
