Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Tiergartenstrasse, Berlin by Lesser Ury was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale auction at Christies in New York in December 2020. The price achieved of USD 87,500.00 (€ 71,545.38) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. Admittedly, works by Lesser Ury have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Am Kurfürstendamm in November 2010 with an auction result of USD 674,500.00 (€ 517,413.32).

Die Arbeit Tiergartenstrasse, Berlin von Lesser Ury wurde im Dezember 2020 in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 87.500,00 (€ 71.545,38) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 70.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lesser Ury auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Am Kurfürstendamm im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 674.500,00 (€ 517.413,32).
