In July 2020 Bonhams in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Art, which included this untitled work by Li Fang. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 69,375.00 (€ 7,600.96), 39% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Li Fang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Watching The Clouds in April 2014 with an auction result of HKD 517,500.00 (€ 48,130.86).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 39 % übertroffen
Im Juli 2020 führte Bonhams in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Li Fang zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 69.375,00 (€ 7.600,96) und damit 39% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Li Fang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Watching The Clouds im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 517.500,00 (€ 48.130,86).
