Auction result well in line with expectations
The work War and Peace by Li Hui was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2010. It changed hands for a price of HKD 620,000.00 (€ 64,411.03) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 450,000.00 – 650,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Li Hui - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ark No. 2, which sold at auction in May 2008 for HKD 2,407,500.00 (€ 198,201.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit War and Peace von Li Hui kam im Mai 2010 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 620.000,00 (€ 64.411,03) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 450.000,00 – 650.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Li Hui mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ark No. 2 beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für HKD 2.407.500,00 (€ 198.201,00) versteigert wurde.
