Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Li Hui achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2009. In the Contemporary Asian Art auction, the work Shrine Of Buddha sold for HKD 620,000.00 (€ 54,205.35) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 300,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Li Hui - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ark No. 2, which sold at auction in May 2008 for HKD 2,407,500.00 (€ 198,201.00).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Li Hui erzielte im Oktober 2009 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art wurde die Arbeit Shrine Of Buddha für HKD 620.000,00 (€ 54.205,35) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 300.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Li Hui mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ark No. 2 beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für HKD 2.407.500,00 (€ 198.201,00) versteigert wurde.
