Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work A Group of Four Photographs by Liang Weizhou was auctioned at Christies in New York in May 2018, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 800.00 – 1,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 500.00 (€ 428.45). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Liang Weizhou achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Facing The Reflection Series- Undressing Man in April 2013 with an auction result of HKD 225,000.00 (€ 22,024.98).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit A Group of Four Photographs von Liang Weizhou im Mai 2018 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 800,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 500,00 (€ 428,45) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Liang Weizhou erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Facing The Reflection Series- Undressing Man im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 225.000,00 (€ 22.024,98).
