Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2021 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters Evening Sale, which included the work Avant la toilette by Louis Léopold Boilly. The price achieved of GBP 68,750.00 (€ 80,623.63) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis Léopold Boilly achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The entrance to the Turkish Garden Café in January 2010 with an auction result of USD 4,562,500.00 (€ 3,289,473.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2021 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Masters Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Avant la toilette von Louis Léopold Boilly zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 68.750,00 (€ 80.623,63) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louis Léopold Boilly erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The entrance to the Turkish Garden Café im Januar 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.562.500,00 (€ 3.289.473,68).
