Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2015 Christies in Paris held the auction Tableaux 1400-1900, which included the work Portrait du comte Louis-Charles de Sainte-Aldegonde by Louis Léopold Boilly. The price achieved of EUR 12,500.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis Léopold Boilly achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The entrance to the Turkish Garden Café in January 2010 with an auction result of USD 4,562,500.00 (€ 3,289,473.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2015 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Tableaux 1400-1900 durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait du comte Louis-Charles de Sainte-Aldegonde von Louis Léopold Boilly zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 12.500,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louis Léopold Boilly erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The entrance to the Turkish Garden Café im Januar 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.562.500,00 (€ 3.289.473,68).
