Réalisée vers 1967, cette œuvre est une épreuve d'artiste d'une édition de cinquante exemplaires et vingt épreuves d'artiste, exécutées par l'Edition Sergio Tosi, Milan. signed and numbered 'AP L. Fontana' (on a side) laquered metal, with holes 4 5 ⁄ 8 x 5 3 ⁄ 8 x 5 3 ⁄ 8 in. Executed circa 1967, this work is an artist's proof from an edition of fifty and twenty artist's proofs, realised by the Edition Sergio Tosi, Milan.

The work Piramide by Lucio Fontana was sold in the Art contemporain - vente online auction at Christies in December last year. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 8,820.00 47% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lucio Fontana achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Concetto Spaziale, La Fine Di Dio in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 29,173,000.00 (€ 27,620,715.77).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 47 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Piramide von Lucio Fontana wurde im Dezember letzten Jahres in der Auktion Art contemporain - vente online bei Christies versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 8.820,00 und damit 47% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lucio Fontana erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Concetto Spaziale, La Fine Di Dio im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 29.173.000,00 (€ 27.620.715,77).
