Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Marcel Duchamp achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Paris in June 2013. In the Art Impressionniste & Moderne auction, the work Nude Descending A Staircase, No. 2 sold for EUR 157,500.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 55,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marcel Duchamp achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Belle haleine - Eau de voilette in February 2009 with an auction result of EUR 8,913,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Marcel Duchamp erzielte im Juni 2013 bei Sothebys in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Art Impressionniste & Moderne wurde die Arbeit Nude Descending A Staircase, No. 2 für EUR 157.500,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 55.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marcel Duchamp erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Belle haleine - Eau de voilette im Februar 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 8.913.000,00.
