Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait de femmes by Marie Laurencin was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March last year. It changed hands for a price of USD 11,970.00 (€ 10,790.59) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marie Laurencin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Femme aux tulipes in November 2010 with an auction result of USD 602,500.00 (€ 462,181.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait de femmes von Marie Laurencin kam im März letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 11.970,00 (€ 10.790,59) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marie Laurencin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Femme aux tulipes im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 602.500,00 (€ 462.181,65).
