Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Masao Yamamoto could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in July 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Legends, Landscapes, and Lovelies | Photographs auction, the work 'Nakazora #1160' changed hands for USD 1,250.00 (€ 1,061.66) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Masao Yamamoto achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nakazora in April 2017 with an auction result of USD 22,500.00 (€ 20,651.68).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Masao Yamamoto konnte im Juli 2020 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Legends, Landscapes, and Lovelies | Photographs wechselte die Arbeit 'Nakazora #1160' für USD 1.250,00 (€ 1.061,66) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Masao Yamamoto erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nakazora im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 22.500,00 (€ 20.651,68).
