Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work I. Untitled No. 132 (Acrobat) Ii. Untitled No. 85 (Ferris Wheel) by Masao Yamamoto for USD 875.00 (€ 743.16). This price was achieved in the auction The Ginny Williams Collection: Part II at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Masao Yamamoto achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nakazora in April 2017 with an auction result of USD 22,500.00 (€ 20,651.68).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit I. Untitled No. 132 (Acrobat) Ii. Untitled No. 85 (Ferris Wheel) von Masao Yamamoto für USD 875,00 (€ 743,16) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Ginny Williams Collection: Part II bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Masao Yamamoto erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nakazora im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 22.500,00 (€ 20.651,68).
