The work Trapezkünstler II (Trapeze Artist II) by Max Pechstein was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Art auction at Sothebys in Cologne in September 2021. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 40,320.00 34% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Max Pechstein achieve.
