This artwork by Mikhail Larionov achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in September 2007. In the Impressionist and Modern Art auction, the work Portrait of Guillaume Apollinaire sold for USD 9,375.00 (€ 6,593.29) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mikhail Larionov achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still Life With Jug And Icon, C.1910-1912 in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 2,260,000.00 (€ 3,353,726.33).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Mikhail Larionov erzielte im September 2007 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art wurde die Arbeit Portrait of Guillaume Apollinaire für USD 9.375,00 (€ 6.593,29) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mikhail Larionov erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Still Life With Jug And Icon, C.1910-1912 im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.260.000,00 (€ 3.353.726,33).
