Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2013 Christies in Paris held the auction Rendez-Vous - Intérieurs Contemporains, which included the work Elo by Milton Resnick. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 7,000.00 – 10,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 7,500.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Milton Resnick achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ulysses in May this year with an auction result of USD 252,000.00 (€ 236,530.88).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2013 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Rendez-Vous - Intérieurs Contemporains durch, in der auch die Arbeit Elo von Milton Resnick zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 7.500,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Milton Resnick erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ulysses im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 252.000,00 (€ 236.530,88).
