This artwork by Mr. achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in Hong Kong in March this year. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale auction, the work The Endless Landscape of this Reality sold for HKD 5,080,000.00 (€ 594,816.04) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 2,000,000.00. Admittedly, works by Mr. have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Exercising My Telekinetic Powers (Painted In 2012) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 4,560,000.00 (€ 4,656,652.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Mr. erzielte im März diesen Jahres bei Phillips in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale wurde die Arbeit The Endless Landscape of this Reality für HKD 5.080.000,00 (€ 594.816,04) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 2.000.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mr. auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Exercising My Telekinetic Powers (Painted In 2012) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.560.000,00 (€ 4.656.652,17).
