Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of an Old Vietnamese Gentlemen by Nguyen Huyen was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in January last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 10,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 10,080.00 (€ 1,153.46) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nguyen Huyen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nue De Mademoiselle Haï Duong (Miss Haï Duong 'S Nude) in April 2018 with an auction result of HKD 150,000.00 (€ 15,827.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of an Old Vietnamese Gentlemen von Nguyen Huyen kam im Januar letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 10.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 10.080,00 (€ 1.153,46) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nguyen Huyen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nue De Mademoiselle Haï Duong (Miss Haï Duong 'S Nude) im April 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 150.000,00 (€ 15.827,40).
