Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Nick van Woert achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in February 2014. In the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Black Eclipse sold for GBP 12,500.00 (€ 15,165.51) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Nick van Woert; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Hollow Core sold at auction in March 2015 with the realized price of USD 27,500.00 (€ 25,602.83).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Nick van Woert erzielte im Februar 2014 bei Phillips in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Black Eclipse für GBP 12.500,00 (€ 15.165,51) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Nick van Woert; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Hollow Core im März 2015 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 27.500,00 (€ 25.602,83).
