Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Outside the Bamboo Screen, circa 1849 by Nukina Kaioku was auctioned at Christies in New York in April 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,250.00 (€ 2,015.77) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nukina Kaioku - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Winter landscape, which sold at auction in March 2003 for USD 5,736.00 (€ 5,262.39).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Outside the Bamboo Screen, circa 1849 von Nukina Kaioku kam im April 2015 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 2.250,00 (€ 2.015,77) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Nukina Kaioku mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Winter landscape beobachtet, die im März 2003 für USD 5.736,00 (€ 5.262,39) versteigert wurde.
