This artwork by Otto Mueller achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in February 2010. In the Impressionist/Modern Evening Sale auction, the work Badende sold for GBP 2,079,650.00 (€ 2,320,042.92) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 700,000.00. This high result makes Badende the most expensive artwork by Otto Mueller that we have observed at auctions so far.
