Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Kleiner See Hafen (Small Seaport) by Paul Klee was auctioned at Sothebys in London in June last year. The price achieved of GBP 1,063,500.00 (€ 1,235,484.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 850,000.00 – 1,200,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paul Klee - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bunte Landschaft, which sold at auction in November last year for USD 4,860,000.00 (€ 4,707,933.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Kleiner See Hafen (Small Seaport) von Paul Klee kam im Juni letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.063.500,00 (€ 1.235.484,48) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 850.000,00 – 1.200.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Paul Klee mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bunte Landschaft beobachtet, die im November letzten Jahres für USD 4.860.000,00 (€ 4.707.933,74) versteigert wurde.
