The work Les deux lavandières au bord de la cascade by Paul Sérusier was auctioned at Christies in New York in May 2015. It achieved a price of USD 1,325,000.00 (€ 1,205,202.84), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 66%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Paul Sérusier; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Filles aux grands sables sold at auction in November last year with the realized price of USD 1,740,000.00 (€ 1,685,556.52).

Die Arbeit Les deux lavandières au bord de la cascade von Paul Sérusier kam im Mai 2015 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 1.325.000,00 (€ 1.205.202,84) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 66%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Paul Sérusier; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Filles aux grands sables im November letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 1.740.000,00 (€ 1.685.556,52).
