Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October last year Christies in Paris held the auction Art Moderne, which included the work Sables d'Olonne, la tour d'Arundel by Paul Signac. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 20,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 21,420.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Signac achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Concarneau, calme du matin (Opus no. 219, larghetto) in November last year with an auction result of USD 39,320,000.00 (€ 38,089,702.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Art Moderne durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sables d'Olonne, la tour d'Arundel von Paul Signac zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 20.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 21.420,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Signac erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Concarneau, calme du matin (Opus no. 219, larghetto) im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 39.320.000,00 (€ 38.089.702,61).
