Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Villefranche-sur-Mer by Paul Signac was sold in the Art Moderne auction at Christies in Paris in October last year. The price achieved of EUR 18,900.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Signac achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Concarneau, calme du matin (Opus no. 219, larghetto) in November last year with an auction result of USD 39,320,000.00 (€ 38,089,702.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Villefranche-sur-Mer von Paul Signac wurde im Oktober letzten Jahres in der Auktion Art Moderne bei Christies in Paris versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 18.900,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Signac erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Concarneau, calme du matin (Opus no. 219, larghetto) im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 39.320.000,00 (€ 38.089.702,61).
