Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2017 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Paul Thek for USD 1,250.00 (€ 1,073.15). This price was achieved in the auction MANHATTA at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Thek achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (five works on newspaper) in October 2018 with an auction result of EUR 175,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2017 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Paul Thek für USD 1.250,00 (€ 1.073,15) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion MANHATTA bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Thek erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (five works on newspaper) im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 175.000,00.
