Sold at the upper estimate price
In October 2018 Christies in Paris held the auction Art Moderne, which included the work Girouette by Philippe Hiquily. The auction ended at the price of EUR 60,000.00, which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of EUR 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Philippe Hiquily have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La Sevillane (Femme Lune) - 2006 in July 2021 with an auction result of EUR 273,000.00.
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Oktober 2018 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Art Moderne durch, in der auch die Arbeit Girouette von Philippe Hiquily zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 60.000,00 entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Philippe Hiquily auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La Sevillane (Femme Lune) - 2006 im Juli 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 273.000,00.
