Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Uovo Scultura n. 29 (Egg Sculpture No. 29) by Piero Manzoni was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 90,000.00 – 130,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 100,000.00 (€ 111,542.38) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Piero Manzoni achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Achrome in October 2014 with an auction result of GBP 12,626,500.00 (€ 16,122,216.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Uovo Scultura n. 29 (Egg Sculpture No. 29) von Piero Manzoni kam im Juli 2020 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 90.000,00 – 130.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 100.000,00 (€ 111.542,38) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Piero Manzoni erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Achrome im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 12.626.500,00 (€ 16.122.216,56).
