Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2011 Christies in New York held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art Evening Sale, which included the work Le petit déjeuner by Pierre Bonnard. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 6,000,000.00 – 9,000,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 6,242,500.00 (€ 4,342,306.62) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Pierre Bonnard have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La Terrasse Ou Une Terrasse À Grasse in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 19,570,000.00 (€ 17,553,143.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2011 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le petit déjeuner von Pierre Bonnard zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 6.000.000,00 – 9.000.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 6.242.500,00 (€ 4.342.306,62) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pierre Bonnard auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La Terrasse Ou Une Terrasse À Grasse im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 19.570.000,00 (€ 17.553.143,78).
