In December 2021 Christies in London held the auction Quentin Blake: New Drawings 2021, which included the work Hand in Hand early preliminary by Quentin Blake. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,490.99), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Quentin Blake achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Grand High Witch in July 2018 with an auction result of GBP 35,000.00 (€ 39,242.70).

Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen

Im Dezember 2021 führte Christies in London die Auktion Quentin Blake: New Drawings 2021 durch, in der auch die Arbeit Hand in Hand early preliminary von Quentin Blake zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.490,99) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Quentin Blake erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Grand High Witch im Juli 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 35.000,00 (€ 39.242,70).
