Auction result well in line with expectations

The work The Bloodbottler dangling the BFG by the arm by Quentin Blake was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2018. The price achieved of GBP 5,250.00 (€ 5,886.40) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Quentin Blake have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Grand High Witch in July 2018 with an auction result of GBP 35,000.00 (€ 39,242.70).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Die Arbeit The Bloodbottler dangling the BFG by the arm von Quentin Blake kam im Juli 2018 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.250,00 (€ 5.886,40) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Quentin Blake auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Grand High Witch im Juli 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 35.000,00 (€ 39.242,70).
