In September 2011 Christies in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art, which included the work Les amoureux à la guitare by Raya Sorkine. The »bidding war« ended at USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,435.50), 67% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Raya Sorkine; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot L'espoir du peintre sold at auction in September 2008 with the realized price of USD 12,500.00 (€ 8,877.21).

Im September 2011 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Les amoureux à la guitare von Raya Sorkine zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 7.435,50) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Raya Sorkine; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit L'espoir du peintre im September 2008 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 8.877,21).
