Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Agua Sucia II by Retna was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2020. Here, the upper estimate of USD 1,200.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 1,375.00 (€ 1,173.41). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Retna achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sorcery of My Style in April last year with an auction result of GBP 100,800.00 (€ 120,200.44).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Agua Sucia II von Retna kam im September 2020 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 1.200,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 1.375,00 (€ 1.173,41) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Retna erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sorcery of My Style im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 100.800,00 (€ 120.200,44).
