Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2016 Christies in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Jean Shrimpton, Evening Dress By Cardin, Paris, January 1970 by Richard Avedon. The price achieved of USD 30,000.00 (€ 26,221.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Avedon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Beatles Portfolio: John Lennon, Ringo Starr, George Harrison and Paul McCartney, London in November last year with an auction result of GBP 809,000.00 (€ 937,446.28).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2016 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Jean Shrimpton, Evening Dress By Cardin, Paris, January 1970 von Richard Avedon zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 26.221,48) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Avedon erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Beatles Portfolio: John Lennon, Ringo Starr, George Harrison and Paul McCartney, London im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 809.000,00 (€ 937.446,28).
